BEFORE - kitchen

BEFORE - kitchen

This kitchen was outdated and cramped. We needed to open up the space for ease of daily use and entertaining.

BEFORE - breakfast nook

BEFORE - breakfast nook

This existing breakfast nook was so small it didn't even accommodate their existing table. It was also almost completed blocked off from the kitchen with the low hanging upper cabinets.

AFTER - Coronado Kitchen Renovation

AFTER - Coronado Kitchen Renovation

We took an outdated, underutilized kitchen and breakfast nook and turned it into this stunning new kitchen renovation. Custom maple cabinets accented with pencil glazing not only look beautiful but added almost double the storage of the existing kitchen.

AFTER - The finishing touches

AFTER - The finishing touches

This client is a baker so food safety was a top priority. We chose quartz counters for their durability, ease of maintenance and the ability to cook directly on them. The tile backslash is porcelain but mimics the look of travertine again without the safety concerns and continued maintenance. The decorative border and and larger 4"x 8" subway tile updates the look.

Keeping the existing window placement was important to reduce costs to exterior repair. We even used an existing bay window and recessed the refrigerator allowing more space in a high traffic area.

AFTER - Island anyone?

AFTER - Island anyone?

This spacious island has many functions. It is used as a prep area for baking and cooking, additional space for entertaining and a laundry folding table as we relocated the washer and dryer from the garage and made a new laundry closet off the kitchen.

AFTER - Extra storage

This customizable pullout is perfect for storing canisters out of sight but within easy reach.

AFTER - Spice it up

Adding a spice rack beside the range is a great way to utilize a small space.

AFTER - Treetop Living

The clients also needed more space for an artists' retreat. The idea behind this space was to be like a tree house. Using an underutilized deck space, taking a few extra feet front the garage and adding tons of windows achieved this light-filled room sitting in the treetops. The view to Lake Coronado from this room is stunning!

AFTER - Extra way to deck

We added an extreior door for easy access to the deck.

A dog's life

Even the family dog approves of this renovation. I'm sure there is a sunbeam or two to lay in.
